A US Air Force F-22 Raptor pilot deployed from the 49th Fighter Wing at Holloman AFB, New Mexico, takes on fuel from a KC-10 Extender tanker on 2 November 2012 while a US Navy F/A-18 pilot from Strike Fighter Squadron 131 (VFA-131) embarked aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, (CVN-69) waits his turn. The Holloman Raptors are deployed to an undisclosed base in the US Central Command area of responsibility. The Eisenhower carrier battle group is attached to the US Fifth Fleet, which is operating in the same general area.
