Training System Expansion

Lockheed Martin will build twenty-four new C-130J training devices and provide program management and engineering services under a US Air Force contract announced on 1 May 2012. Called C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training System II, or JMATS II, this contract covers weapons systems, enhanced integrated cockpit systems, loadmaster fuselage, and loadmaster part-task trainers along with enhanced cargo handling system training aids. The trainers will be delivered by 2016 to Cannon and Kirtland AFBs, New Mexico; Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona; Dyess AFB, Texas; Hurlburt Field, Florida; Little Rock AFB, Arkansas; Moody AFB, Georgia; and Ramstein AB, Germany. The work will be managed at Lockheed Martin’s Marietta, Georgia, and Orlando, Florida, businesses. Lockheed Martin has managed the JMATS program since 2000.
