The third production C-5M Super Galaxy was flown for the first time on 18 July 2011 at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia. The former C-5B, US Air Force serial number 85-0005, will be redelivered to Dover AFB, Delaware, in the next few weeks. The C-5M fleet now consists of five modernized C-5Bs and one C-5A. Two of the former C-5Bs and the A-model aircraft were modified as part of the C-5M test program.
