A ripple release of four GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs, or SDBs, was successfully carried out during a test on 14 October 2010. A team from the F-22 Combined Test Force at Edwards AFB, California, staged out of Nellis AFB, Nevada, conducted the test drop as part of an ongoing upgrade program designed to enhance the Raptor’s air-to-ground capabilities.
