The 61st Airlift Squadron at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, received the latest C-130J Super Hercules airlifter to come off the assembly line on 15 May 2014. Lt. Gen. Brooks Bash, vice commander of Air Mobility Command, ferried the aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to the base outside the Arkansas capitol. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 11-5745) will be assigned to the 61st Airlift Squadron, one of two C-130J combat delivery squadrons at the base. The 61st AS, which has operated C-130s since 1956, is part of Air Mobility Command's 19th Airlift Wing.
