US military advisors traveled to Doula, Cameroon to participate in Central Accord ’13, a multinational exercise that ran from 20 February through 1 March 2013. Central Accord is a US Army Africa annual exercise that brings together US military personnel with counterparts from the African continent to enhance military interoperability, providing an opportunity for sharing of common goals, and foster security cooperation. In this year’s exercise, the US partnered with participants from Cameroon, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of São Tomé e Principe, and the Gabonese Republic. The exercise included a Cameroon Air Force C-130 crew opening the aircraft ramp and door during flight to conduct an airdrop for the first time.
